The gallery

Committed to supporting both emerging talent and established artists, the Loo & Lou gallery opened its Paris space on Rue Notre-Dame de Nazareth in June 2015.

In 2017, the gallery opened L’Atelier, a new space adjacent to its Haut-Marais location, offering a complementary programme to the current exhibition (performances, ‘work in progress’), providing a second exhibition opportunity for works already shown, and serving as a venue for programming by young artists.

The Loo & Lou gallery operates through an artistic direction open to all disciplines and drawing on diverse sources of inspiration. Its programme finds its cohesion in a selection of artists often driven by a reflection on the exploration of life, the body and portraiture, and also inspired by the theme of nature. In 2018, it launched a new strand of its programme: the ‘Cartes Blanches’ offered to independent curators, which underscore its commitment to opening up to the outside world to engage in dialogue, discover new approaches and new artists.
