Description of the work

Not everything needs to be revealed in order to be deeply felt. In this work, the body unfolds like a whispered confession. Sketched through a free and instinctive gesture, it hovers between appearance and disappearance, like a memory taking shape before our eyes. The black lines, at times vigorous, at times delicate, engage in dialogue with touches of white, ochre, and red, infusing the composition with a quiet yet striking intensity. The back curves, the head inclines, the hand opens. Each gesture seems to convey something deeply intimate: vulnerability, resilience, the silence that precedes renewal. Anatomy gives way to emotion, leaving the viewer free to construct their own narrative. The pared-down background brings the full power of the drawing into focus. Nothing is static; everything is movement. The empty spaces become as essential as the lines themselves, creating a sense of breath and enhancing the depth of the work. At the intersection of contemporary drawing and gestural painting, this creation asserts an aesthetic that is at once raw, sensitive, and resolutely timeless. It commands attention without ever revealing everything, inviting the viewer to return again and again, discovering new layers of emotion with each encounter.
