Description of the work

Oil and charcoal on natural bark. Some works are meant to be observed. This one is meant to be felt. Suspended between movement and stillness, the figure appears to emerge from a breath, as though the artist’s gesture had captured the precise moment when the body becomes emotion. The lines, at once free and assured, shape a figure of instinctive elegance, while touches of ochre, rust, and light reveal the warmth of the living form. The face remains deliberately elusive. It does not convey an identity, but rather a sensation. Each viewer is free to discover within it a story, a memory, a rebirth, or a search for freedom. The raised arms open up the space, while the crossed legs suggest a silent dance, a delicate balance between strength and surrender. The restrained background amplifies the presence of the figure. Nothing distracts the gaze; the full intensity lies in the energy of the line, within this vibrant material where each mark appears to carry the breath of creation. This work invites contemplation of what cannot be expressed through words. It brings to an interior a powerful, refined, and profoundly contemporary artistic presence. Its pared-down aesthetic allows it to engage equally with minimalist spaces and with more daring environments.
